Ac output temperature

Does anyone have any idea what the output temp for the AC should be at the interior vents? I have a '97 SL2 that I put 134A in today that blows 49 degrees at the center vent. Have a '94 SL1 that blows about 44 degrees..Also an
'04 Camry that blows 49 degrees. Also on the SL1 the fan works at all speeds but doesnt seem to blow as well as it should on high. Does this have a filter on the blower that has to be cleaned occasionally? Thanks in advance for any help....Bob

21°C (70°f) should be around 5-9°c (40-48c°f)


27°C (80°F) should be around 6-10°C (42-49°F)


33°C (90°F) should be around 6-10°C (43-50°F)



38°C (100°F) should be around 10-13°C (50-56°F)

a properly operating A/C system after running for 5 minutes windows up(maybe a crack open incase the door locks) set to full cold, fan on high, and recirc on, will easliy read below 40 degrees at the center vents, unless your in the middle of death valley or something.

if your system is not fully cooling, an under or over charged system is the most likey cause IMHO. if you used the dinky one pound charge cans sold everywhere i can garaintee the system is not properly charged. and A/C system requires a percise amount of charge the individual charge cans can not offer. the proper way to charge an A/C is to first recover the system, then charge by wieght while monitoring high and low side pressures.

long story short - for maximum perfromance, have the system serviced by a EPA certified tech with the proper equiptment.

the S-Series does not have a cabin air filter.
