02 Windstar LX

Quick question (I Hope)...

I just purchased a 2002 Windstar LX and noticed the "THEFT" indicator blinks while the van is locked. Does this simple mean the theft system is active or that a theft attempt has occured. I don't have an owners manual to check for myself.

The theft system is active. Mine does the same thing. I think all the anti-theft system means is that you have to have a "special" key to start it.
