Is there a specific one you need to know?

yeah. but i dont have an owners manual. its the symbol of a box with a + in it and what looks like a flag pole with two wavey lines coming off it. its on a 94 SL1. a buddy of mine told me its a temp light. but everything seems fine. the light only blinked and he said not to worry about it.

on the S-series a BLINKING low coolant/temp light is a sign of a possible bad ECT due to some funky programing in the PCM i don't understand

How long ago did you replace it, and did it have a metal or plastic tip?

i dont remember when i replaced it. it would have to be at least a month or two ago and it had a metal tip on it. why?

The plastic tipped ones are known to fail prematurely. Did you replace the one with 2 wires, 1 wire, or both?
Ridleyj329

only the two wire

Go ahead and pull the 1 wire sensor, see if its plastic tipped, if so replace it.

the one wire sender's ONLY propose is for the needle gauge on the dash, it is not for any lights.
if the sensor has been replaced, check the connector for gunk. check coolant level, purge any air from the system(squeeze hoses and watch for bubbles in resevuior).
i will try to find out the exact cause of this warning via the computers at work, but tiny rare part of programing like this tend to be omitted
