I have a 1999 Windstar SEL. The passenger side power door will open just fine, but it will not close without me pushing it completely closed. The drivers side rear door opens and closes correctly.
I can hear what sounds likes like relays clicking somewhere in the back.
Does anyone have any thought on my problem?

I have the same issues as Ken. I also own a 1999 windstar SEL same relay clicking. It will totally close and then a second later the door will pop out about 1/4 inch and show as open on the console.
I have to push the door in with some force to get it to lock again. At times the door won't respond to open or close commands at all from the remote or buttons in the car.
Any help is appreciated

Start with lubricating the tracks (upper and lower) with a good grease and then clean the switch contacts on the front part of the door. Some of those systems will set off a "Body code" if there is a malfunction that can be retrieved by a Ford dealer.

Everytime I have this problem I clean the contacts, which always seems to solve the problem.

This has been an issue for us from the first month we had the van (a 2000 SEL bought new in December 1999). Kept taking it back to the dealer; they couldn't find anything wrong. Tried cleaning the contacts; worked to some extent. There is no rhyme or reason for us. For the last 6 months or longer, it's been the passenger sliding door -- will close, but then "bump" back so you have to get out and "hip check it" as I call it to close it. Or if I'm already belted in, I open it with the button above me and close it again. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's frustrating, but I'm used to it now.
