you guys have and i quote ''have suckiest engine swaps ever'' you guys cant top my ideas
800 odd ci ford pro mod engine in a CR-V
THE SAME ENGINE in a ford ka

seriously, Captain Bullshit, shut up. just because you don't like others' idea doesn't mean they suck. just because you don't find them impressive means nothing. especially when you pretend you've wrecked a $200,000 or whatever it was ford falcon race car then you say you want to put an RB26 into one etc...

you don't like others' idea, then keep it to yourself because if you just want to come here and find fault in other people's ideas no one, and i mean no one, will give a shit about what you think.

I think that rotary miata would be sweet!

Ford engines arent the greatest anyway..

But that rotary Miata does sound pretty cool.

beef_bourito
07-03-2006, 03:32 PM
if you want to drive a rotary miata get forza motorsport, they've got that upgrade for it.

anyways i'd say a ford 400+Ci turbocharged v8 into a pinto, really really quiet exhaust with straight pipes that you can switch to from the drivers seat. nobody would see it coming.

yeah well if i had the resources to do that id build a space frame around it that could take the torque of the engine. the only stock thing would be the body, i'd get similar looking rims so that it would still look normal.

A pinto ceases to look normal when its pulling away from people at the light

Rotary Miata bad, V8 Miata good, disagreement will equal bannage :p It's probably the highest on my list for the V8 transplant I so want to do, actually that is wrong, it's the S2000 I want to V8ify the most.

Otherwise I think I may have to call up my mate Mike and ask him if he or his homie Felipe can spare me a 248F1 so I can chuck the engine into the shell of the $200,000,000 Ford Falcon GT Race car I wrote off, the insurance company let me have the shell and gave me the payout you know!

Also, i'd rather use an S2000 than a Miata for whatever swap..

um... how about this.... 96 or so mr2 with a ford gt engine....

also geo metro gsi with a srt-10 viper engine in it. the car alone fully equipped weighs in at 1861 lbs from autotrader.

Just thought of another one. Putting a BMW S70 or an M72, or an S62 in a short wheelbase E32 or E38.

I believe that a 572 circle-track racing big block would be nice in my 83 S-10 pickup.

It only weighs like 1,200 lbs. YIKES!!!

that would give me something like oh, 1.6 - 1.8 lbs/hp

Just to let you know.. there's a reason as to why people choose the LS7 over most engines.. and thats because of how badass the engine is and the fact that in the Corvette Z06, the LS7 gives it a power to weight ratio of 6.2 lb/hp. Also the Z06 weighs 3100ish lbs..

Anyway thats all.. maybe look into it a bit and you'll see that it really does beat the 572.

Cummins. :)

i hear that might be the next big thing, dropping some of these ungoddly powerful deisels into cars... can you say excessive tire wear? personally though a '71 ford 429 cj 4v connected to a 5spd, and a ford 9inch rear.... in my little zx2 would be awe inspiring

maybe technicaly the ls7 is a better choice, but there isnt much that LOOKS better under the hood of an S-10 than a CLEAN AS SHIT racing motor.
of course the torque alone would fry the tires and the clutch, but it dosent matter.

as for performance, an engine engineered for fuel injection (ls7) will not do as well as an engine designed for a carb (572 BB) with a carb. (i hate the clutter and complication of EFI and i'd like to get away w/o a computer, you know... redneck style it)

oh and btw, i meant that the stock S-10 weighs around 1,200 lbs. i used a 572 that is proven to put out between 675-750 hp depending on the cam and carb settings.
the 1.6-1.8 lb/hp was for the whole truck. im pretty sure vipers have 8-9 lb/hp

Rally Sport

I was just saying. To each his own, really, I would take the Ls7 even 'with the clutter'

my friend's talking about a VH45DE(TT) (i think that's the right code) for his S14A. i'd like to do that.

also an VAG 4.2 Biturbo V8 in a Mk.4 Golf R32. although i've seen it done it'd like one for myself.

I know this is a whole idea but my buddy is talking about a 1992 Honda Accord LX with hubcaps, body damage, a suction cub sesame street character (sp) in the rear window, and a car seat in back. But we build him a 400-500HP Turbo B18C5 with a Type-R tranny and an LSD. Oh and a poorly mounted OBX rice can and NOS stickers to boot.

Subaru Alyclone VX with a Turbo Tribeca H6
E46 BMW 325i Sedan with an E60 M5 V10

For my F-150...

Well, first I'd like to take a blown 427ci Ford V8 and use a pair or long-tube headers, with sidepipes. I'd use 102 Ron fuel and methanol injection as well as run a water/ice chargecooler to lower the intake temperature. I'd have 16 injectors for the fuel and 4 for the methanol, to help accurately control fuelling. I'd have a drag-spec Magneto igniton system to get a reliable spark too. I wouldn't use an airfilter, only a cotton gauze to prevent restrictive airflow.

Fixed :)
