There are a lot of stuff that I need before post in it: a wife less (LOL), 3 devils less, a shitty dog to walk less, a bit of work less, 250+ new kit that wait me every day less (LOL), and since is spring a garden to care less, a superdetailed 360 less, a fuc##d egg roll scaglietti less, an aged lady F166 less... yep I forgot: a bit of less blood pressure may help, so take your ticket and put yourself in row (ROFL)
BTW: well to be honest I woked a bit on the front fenders, but mori-mori joked me: now I'm down with the 360 and the scangi that I hope to finish for Monza contest in june: over the summer I'm sure to find some spare time (3 devils in holidays allowing) to manage some massive updates (also cos I promised for the 60').
BTW2: thanks a lot guys for kind comments ;)

Once a time, thanks guys and sorry for the delay in new steps, I'm trying to finish other stuff.
Dave> actually the paint/decals are stripped, I was satisfacted by the body mods but not from the finishing, some overlapping's troubles with decals and masks. Lesson learned :D. I hope to keep in hand soon but those Jeff Gordon's stuff I'm wondering.... can't rexist... LOL

Thanks but lately I'm seeing a lot of those boring old thread bump, if the post is useless for the community please use PM: this one isn't only for you: I see a lot of new members that probably skip FAQ and guidelines..
The project is still alive but in delay due to other stuff deadline, like contest I joint and group build, more over the summer.

BBBBBUMP! This time is me!
This build make me to think about. I called GTO but she has nothing to do with her '62 grandma... Now a less more ;) Really now would be a bit hard recognize that she's based on a Maranello... isn't it?
Let me (gio the modeler) to show how I'm trying to kill my alter-ego gio(nny be good) with Morimori fumes.... the worst smell you'll ever feel... bullshit smell like violets aside... ROFL
Guys I wannot to show the whole thing's design now becose it would be in primer>painted in few days (hopefully) and you'll understand better then. Anyway I wanted to share some Morimori tips, despite the infamous smell it's amazing, I feel it better than any other polyester putty I tried, and it have a kind quality: after 20-30 mins (depends of the kat %) you'll cut with a cutter like a good compact foam. Day after is rock.
First times may be hard to find the right formula: it would be catalised at 2%, so I used a squared paper 10x10 squares + 2 for Kat. After a couple of Kilos used I mix it by the color: the putty is grey, Kat is dark yellow, a good mixing ratio would be medium yellow. Too simple to do than to explain.
Let me show: enough words in my crappy english for today: new side vents:

Hi,
great to see you working on this model.
The vents behind the wheels look good (another opportunity might have been the SLR vents), rear vent also makes it GTO-like

Gio, rear vents and re-done rear deck looks great! I'm not such a big fan of the fender vents, they look awkward in the front, against the wheel opening... I'm torn on the headlights - they look nice, but too round for this shape? Great to see you working on it again though.

This is great progress. Usually we are treated to elegant PE'ing and very realistic interiors and brakes from you. Nice to see you get your hands dirty with all this original work.

Gio, Love the rear vents, they are tops! Front vents do not seem to flow to well. I am no expert, but the initial surface that is cut from the body does not support the vents well. They almost need to be parallel to be more effective. I think that this can be achieved with the wheel arches. I dunno, I don't mean to deter you as you are always doing extravagant ideas. What ever comes of it, this is a work in progress. Anything out of the box is great for a lot of, literally.

Awesome work Gio! Is there a reason you didnt use sheet styrene instead of putty for the front vent work?
I'm anxious to see what the body looks like as a whole.

Thanks a lot guys for all comments and critics, they're ever welcome. A side viewpoint is ever precious for one that's diving deep in the project.
On the sidevents issue: I'll understand all our position, but like also on lights, isn't so easy manage a shape that's almost perfect and balanced out of factory. Anyway I decided to work on it: it's a double challange...
Headlights: I guess it's a taste's thing but honetsly now wheel's arches are much more rounded than the original "edged" cut: so a nervy light's design would be off-key. A smooth oval design that remind the '62 GTO seems to find some armony with the whole design but the car lost so some "badass appea", start to seems a Porsche... it's becoming girl... naaaaaaa this beast have balls LOL. My solution is in the average: I reshaped a bit headlights housing from what you seen before, but at last the design is those.
@ Mike: I done before some styrene vents, just check the thread back. I wasn't happy, I need more a "3d" movement and you'll bend the plastic in one only axis at time...
Midmazar: I bought Morimori from HLJ, but it's a Wawe's product so I guess you'll find in some other places.
Updates: more on the headlights jobs: a mold to warmcast the transparent cover, another one that would be carbonized as the inner housing part. Fitting is not at 100% also cos the tack glue used. Few touch and would be perfect. The projector is just a sample to test dimensions: I want to turn a better one with lens and "hi-tech" appeal. have fun ;)

I'd really appreciated all criticism since they keep my focus, my concentration on the design's problem HI. I have to say that I'm having more care of the method to do the things than of the result. Really I'm having fun, learning something that missed in my experience and, at last, improoving the learning curve.
I need to manage well this tips for some interesting project next.

When/if the builder has something to update, especially when it is someone like Gio, they will post it.
