The ABS light has been on for some time but i do not have a reader so i couldnt fix it. Now i have the code so can somebody tell me what it is?
C1185, ABS POWER OUTLET RELAY CIRCUIT FAILURE
Is there any more to that code like what sensor it is? Also how much does a new sensor run?

The C1185 code could mean that the connector to the ABS control module has come loose or the module itself is bad.
Maybe someone else can offer other reasons, but these are the only 2 that I know of (and I have the C1185 code on my 99 right now!).

For most of the tests, Ford recommends a "EEC IV breakout box". I don't have one either.
If you can back-check the LB/PK and the YE/LG conductor voltages (each to ground), you should find 10 plus volts on each. If not, repair the circuit. If so, you're close to buying a module.
