Have a tapping sound once engine is up to temperature and oil light slightly flickers at stop lights.Oil level is on full mark and dirty enuff to be changed.
Took it to my mechanic and he told me engine is getting oil volume but not enuff pressure and the sound is most likely main crankshaft bearing noise.
Thought I would post this and see if you guys agree or have any other ideas.

PS It has 3.8L engine

How many miles on the van? How long have you owned it? How many miles between oil changes?
Any noise on start up? (before oil psi is built up)
Regards

My van has 152,109 miles and oil is changed every 3000 miles. There is no noise until engine is up to temperature. My mechanic told me he did pressure test and that I have plenty of volume but not enuff pressure. And most likely the main crankshaft bearings are starting to go. I have owned it for four years

It may be the oil filter bypass not fuctioning properly and I'm not sure if the bypass is incorporated in the filter or is on the block itself.Have a tapping sound once engine is up to temperature and oil light slightly flickers at stop lights.Oil level is on full mark and dirty enuff to be changed.

I'd start by changing the oil and filter. Use a quality oil and filter (I always use Motorcraft) and see if the symptoms change.
Just a guess: Did these symptoms change shortly after the last oil change?
