i just put brand new brake shoes and wheel cylinders on the rear of my 94 SL1. my question is how can i tell if my drums need to be turned or replaced?

chances are if your pads need replace, the drum needs cut or replaced. proper way - get a drum micrometer.

my front bads and rotors are brand new. my back shoes and the drums felt smooth last time i looked at them. my drums have not been replaced. they appear to still be stock. if i just go replace them would that be a waste or should i see if they can be turned first. when i press my brake pettle they squeak a lil but they dont do it all the time. im pretty sure this aint suppose to be happening with brand new brake shoes.
