Low Coolant Light

I have a 1997 Sable LS with the duratec, and my low coolant light came on, but my resovior is full? Didnt know if the sensor is in the resovior tank or the radiator, was thinking maybe it just went bad?

I had a very similar problem. Once I had the coolant flushed the light cleared up. The sensor is in the overflow tank and it gets clogged or dirty.
