01 impala code 58,59

Hello gang,
My 01 impala LS lately has been fllashing security and cruise control lights in the dash--when the cruise is off while driving.
I had my mechanic friend scan for codes--and he pulled up code 58 and code 59? I looked these up on his shop key program and don't see that code listed.Is this just garbage codes or is there another problem?:disappoin
Could this be BCM related?

I only see b1258 and 59, no relation to your problem.

It would be helpful to post the whole DTC error code. BCM codes are displayed as BXXXX. How were these codes pulled up? Was it on a GM Tech II?

There is a GM TSB out on the Impala related to Security/Passlock II.

TSB #040847003 -- SECURITY LIGHT ON, ENGINE WILL NOT CRANK, DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES B2958 AND/OR B2960. *TT (NHTSA ID #10011075, SEPTEMBER 01 2004).

Yeah you missing couple word and digits.

The car starts and runs fine-- he was across the garage and I was on his computer searching for the codes, I asked him the same question.
I will have him rescan again next time I am there.
Maybe by then it will get worse and throw more codes.:uhoh:
