How Do I Hook Up Subs In The Trunk

hey, i have no knowledge of how to hook up 2 subs in my trunk... do i really need an amp... and if i dont could someone tell me how to do this...any info will help...thankx..

Yes you need an amp

You need to splice into the speaker wires for the rear deck speakers, then run that to a low-pass converter then run the output from the converter to your amp.

You'll also need to run power to the trunk for your sub. Easiest way is straight from the battery with an inline fuse. Pass the cable through some cable shielding and run it along underneath your car and up through one of the drain plugs behind the rear drivers side tire. It will enter the trunk pretty close to the radio brain, where you can get your "remote" power from for the amp to turn on when the stereo does. You can get the low pass filter cheap on ebay, I got mine for under $15 shipped. Search the forum, others have made this work, I never got around to mine, but will someday...
