I'm gutted a guy came into my place of work today and told me there had been a dark coloured mclaren f1 sitting in Guildford high street for about 4 hours today, showed me his camera phone pictures too. So after work i popped into town but sadly it was gone!!
Keep a look out it may show up on exoticspotters or somewhere like that, i hope. Dont know which car it was though?

It was not Atkinsons car for sure, if anything, it looked like the factory dark green car sort of colour. I should have looked at the plate but i was at work and had to concentrate on the customer. I guess its not impossible it was the factory car, after all my town is only about 6 miles from the Mclaren building.

Yeah, they need to be gold or stock. Stock ones are alot nicer, but gold says Koenig and old school tuners :D

In London over the past few days or so it has been fantastic for classics. In addition to these saw private collection with a McLaren F1, 356 Speedster and Ferrari 250 GT SWB which I got pics of, but the person didn't want the pics on the net.

Found two pics of what I think is #16R, if my "analysis" is correct. I started with all the fleet threads, to see if I could spot this particular 'livery'. But not all liveries that a # has worn, are depicted there. Then I actually found McLarenFreak's (old?) sites http://www.mclarenfreak.com/gtr_helper.htm and http://www.mclarenfreak.com/gtr_longtail_helper.htm.
Not on there either :-)
Then I scrolled down a bit in the 'Best of Best' threads and found the GTR Location thread and GTR Racing livery thread. Not there either. :confused:
I know this livery, pics of it have been around like forever, so then a Google search and voila: 16R! (Right?? :smokin:)
Pics are from when it was MOT tested at Motest Farnham

Well for starters, it's #020 that wears the F1 TOO plate. Chassis #069 has the DAR7H plate now.
I found the details - they are letters, not numbers and the Vehicle Make is "McLaren F1"

I was going to do it after I finished the USA and Japan Fleet threads a few months back but Chris suggested he would take care of it. The initial post in the European Fleet thread is also outdated a bit so don't count on all those details either.
Anyway, I'm a little busier now myself but will try to get it done soon.

Ancient history (almost) are these pre-HDF Kit photos of #020 that Simon Kidston has shared which were taken by his Junior Classic Car Specialist, Emanuele Collo, at Monza in 2003. I simply love the old stuff! :thumbsup:

Was lucky enough to stumble across Tony Smiths F1 in a petrol station many years ago in Milford Surrey does any one know why it has changed plate to F1 TOO :screwy:
