:screwy: I have 1993 Grand Marquis LS. From 0 to 30 on slight up hill incline chugs like not getting enough gas. Last Sunday it would start idle real rough and die did this about 12 time before starting. Tried reving it and it would die. Check engine light comes on fast when over drive is off. When is on doesn't come on for a while. Questtion is this a clogged fuel filter? Oxgyen sensor or do I need a new fuel pump?help!

Air filter. Plugs, cap, and rotor. And like Cobradude said, try cleaning the Mass Air Flow sensor, and also the inside of the intake.

Sorry but a '93 does NOT have a "cap and rotor". It has Coil Packs where the Ignition Wires (Spark Plug Wires) attach directly. Speaking of which my first move would have been to change the Spark Plug Wires. Did you do that and perhaps I missed it?? Use HIGH QUALITY wires ONLY (like AUTOLITE) and also don't forget to put some Dielectric Compound in BOTH ends of the wires before attaching. MB

My bad, I forgot the 4.6 came out in 93....I was thinking 5.0.

Does it make a difference if the fuel cap is off? A clogged tank vent line can restrict the flow of fuel.
