Oh boy, a new problem! 92 SL2 Clutch System

I was doing some heavy driving all around the other day, and after a while I noticed that the clutch was beginning to be really stiff...

Wasn't sure what might be causing it, and since the car was hot, I figured there wasn't any point in checking the tranny fluid level.

So, I did the next best thing, I decided to check the fluid level in the clutch.

The good part is, there aren't any leaks in the system.
That bad part is the fact that I believe there might be some moisture built up into the system... When I pulled the cap off of the slave cyl. I noticed a bit of "steam" escape. Now when I say steam, I don't mean like, it shot out, as if I had opened up the radiator cap while the engine was hot. What I mean, is that after I had the cap off, I could see little wisps of moisture escaping from the fluid.

Now, I know that moisture in the system is always a bad thing.
Do you think that might have been causing the excessively stiff clutch?
If so, How the in the hell are you supposed to bleed the system out?
In the haynes manual I have, it says you need to replace the entire system.
Of course, on any other car I've had there was always a bleed screw on the tranny so that you could bleed/replace bad clutch fluid.

So, anyone have any ideas?
I'm going to be carpooling to work soon, so it doesn't matter to me if the car is going to be down for a week or so.

Thanks in advance.

have you driven after it cooled to see if the pedal is still stiff? if water is in the fluid, then the clutch should actually get soft.

now your lucky with a 92, that is if the hydraulics havent been replaced, there is a tiny screw (i think allen) that can bleed it. it wont look like your typical bleeder, it will just look like a screw on the slave cylinder.

if the hydraulics have been replaced, then it most likely wont have the bleeder screw. i think in after 93 they changed to a fully sealed clutch hydraulic unit.

Actually, the clutch loosened up after it cooled...
And for the record, the clutch is already a very stiff clutch. Takes a bit of pressure to get it past that initial mark... Unlike some other manuals I have driven.

But when this happened, it really weirded me out, because the clutch pedal became even stiffer, and actually started squeaking when I was pressing on it.
