I got a problem. Well at least two problems. Both my vehicles, 97 Windstar and 94 chevy silverado, the a/c doesn't work. I bought one of them kits from Walmart and tested them both. The windstar is in the 25-45 psi range which shows there is refrigerant in it. The silverado show a little less in the 25-45 psi range. I tried to put some refrigerant in the silverado like it said, turn it on max, etc. Still blows hot air. Anyway. please help. What seems to be the problem. I'm getting alot of static from the spouse on this one. Its starting to get in the 90's here in Missouri. Please help. Tell me how to fix it and save money too. WOW, what a trick. lol. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for the help guys. I took the van to the shop and they filled it up with 3 lbs worth. The kicker is they say it is leaking through the evaporator coil that is in the same place as the heater coil. Major job. I lasted through the summer with it last year after it was filled so I'm hoping it will last this summer. ANyway I'm gonna have to get a shadetree to help me change the heater coil anyway because there is no front heat. I drove it all winter without front heat but had back heat. Any suggestions. comments. GO easy on me. The mechanic also charged me to change the serpentine belt because it was half the width as required. Belt cost: 64.00, labor: 32.00. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for listening. comments???? suggestion?????

OH, by the way when I tested it with a kit from wally world, it showed up to 45 psi. I have to fill up the truck 94 silverado, no air. any suggestions on maybe what I did wrong, didn't do???? thanks again.
