He's got that scaled up ruler out again! Very impressive looks just like the boost gauge in my srt4. Keep up the awsome work!

I would also like to credit Mark for turning me on to a car I had never seen before. I've spent a bunch of time reading about the 7's since stumbling across this thread awhile ago. Now I got another car on that "list" that piles up in my brain of cars I'd love to own. Damn you Mark, that list is long enough as it is! j/k

And the dash, so far... C/F with padding on the lower "legs".
You can compare it the primered (green) version I posted earlier, (page 8).
More info and details about it when it has more goodies on it.
Thanks for the kind words everyone... - Mark

This is the stuff of modelling fantasy. I think I speak for everyone with their nose against the monitor and their lower jaws on the keyboard that you should get a bigger macro lens. I want to see that little pin that limits the needle movement! Lord help the collective modelling community's ego if you ever get your hands on any nanotech fabrication equipment! ("Yes the odometer really works, but I'm going to have to glue everything into position so the gears don't get stripped")

Injectors actually. 30 plus parts in the "rear" one (actually in the foreground & left) and not quite as many in the forward one (right). So far... The main throttle bodies are all that are used from the kit, (modified). The red & black switch is one of the actuator switches for the NOS system. The synchronizing adjustment screws have springs around them to keep them from moving on their own, they also have Phillips heads... - Mark

OK... just went through every page, and part of your parts thread after posting ^^^ that little bit... I don't have words to describe in my vocabulary to describe what I just saw. It is just awe inspiring.

The fact that you put so much effort, dedication, and detail into this project should serve as an example to us all. I still cant even begin to imagine how hard it is to make some of those super small parts like those guages and such, my hands could never be that steady.

Wow, just wow... I can't wait to see more.

Actually there's 7 pieces (wonder how it worked out to 7?) plus the "glass". The megaphone part is one piece, cut on the lathe with a standard cutting tool. The tips of both tubes were milled to the same angle with an end mill... - Mark

The boots for the wires are machined aluminum, (what else?), with vinyl tubing. The bottom one is fully assembled and painted, the one above is the assembled parts. The rest of the parts are above them, the one different part is the boot for the coil.

As I'm a Finn I can't find the right words in English to describe your model (I wonder if it's even possible to praise this thing enough) so I'll just ask one stupid question.

What's that device that's connected between MSD-box and distributor? There are 5 wires in the distributor, one for each spark plug ofcourse but what's the fifth for? The signal for distributor?

Ok, actually that was two questions...

Maybe I should make myself more familiar with engines... :shakehead

Thanks everyone for the encouragement and very kind words. Here's a few more explanations/answers:

Scuderia: I hope to have it done in less than 6 months. Can't say exactly how long, as always, it will be done when it's done.

Saromaki: The "device" between the ignition box and distributor is the coil. It provides the big power to be distributed via the distributor to the plugs, hence the large cable the same as the plug wires.

Wouter: Remember, this engine has an NOS system that is not prototypical for a Super Seven. It is an aftermarket addition.

Joelwideqvist: I build them like real cars for the most part, that gives me the order, more or less, to assemble to. And the Scale-Master screen name is from Scale-Master Decals, and thank you very very much. (I did not mean it as a pompous statement and hope it is not construed as such.)

Tonioseven: Mr. Tamiya already has one of my yellow Seven's (on his desk as I understand it). He was very gracious when accepting it a couple years ago. I hope he appreciates the Blue one too, but I'll be keeping it for myself...

Stay tuned, more to come, sooner or later... - Mark

I think this build deserves a published write up. this is absolutely the finest model I have ever seen. in my (real) nissan club, some of the guys were in complete denial that it is even possible to achieve such detail in scale, even in 1:12 scale. indeed, you do deserve the title of scale master.

I was wondering if you have any pictures of actual machining while you are making the parts, as well as assembly and painting process. I'm considering doing somewhat of a biography of this build to better consolidate all of the progress you have already shared with all of us here on A/F. I don't intend on any kind of publication, as I am a bakery employee, and have too many other endevors, to add another project would be assinine.

truely, this is a fine build. keep up the (indescribably) excellent work
