my cooling fan is wired directly to the battery so its hard to tell if any connected components or working properly. i was concidering changing my ATS and CTS. my question is would it make much of a difference to change my thermostat at the same time? my temp gauge on dash to my knowledge hasnt gone above half way at all in the past three months ive had my car.

depends on how old it is. if your thinking of replacing the coolant, then might as well and flush the cooling system. if radiator hoses feel a bit stiff, then replace those.

but now you have the fan directly hard wired to the battery no inline fuse nore a toggle switch to turn it on and off?

a thermostat cost about $10, and if the system is already drained it take all of 5-10 minutes to do
