Anyways, I was wondering, which one of the 3 guys in Gotian's sig are you? I assumed you were the one in the middle, Drifty was the one on the left, and Gotian was the one that looks like he is straight out of a Pokemon episode...

Now I dont think increasing my power to about 230-240WHP is putting much stress on my motor when the design can push up to 440WHP (500 at the fly) safely without changing the internals.

But that's with a lot of careful tuning and supporting mods for sure.

I don't doubt too much you can push the power up to what you say with a switch because you can do a lot of crazy things with a turbo car by fiddling with the ECU/wastegate.

However, I very much doubt you are doing it safely.

Ask any turbo car owner and they will assure you that to safely up boost you need more efficient exhaust and intake (how much of course depends on the car) but more importantly you need bigger injectors and higher flowing fuel pump/rails. This is because you're maxing out the fuel delivery system by running that much boost. Too hot a day and you rev it too hard and bang.

I don't know much about VWs but I believe you when you say the engine block/pistons/watever can handle 400hp. But can the stock fuel delivery system handle that much? My guess would be that they are very close to maxed out already, and when those components are working at their limit, the chances of something going wrong are quite high.

I just don't want to see you lose your baby, man. It hurts.

Thanks for the concern, But I'm on top of it, I'm getting an Adjustable fuel pressure regulator as well as air/fuel gauge so if I am indeed running a bit on the lean side it will be adjusted. But as for the hot day thing, I live in miami, 90-100 degree weather is an everyday thing here and I've ran it with the switch on all day and nothings happened, no over heating or anything of the unusual. And besides this thing is still on trial, I was planning on testing it out for a month to see if something does go wrong, and so far nothing, but it hasnt been a month yet and so it's still on trial.

Yeah, now that you mention it, I don't think I've ever seen an SRT8 in real life yet. Course my town isn't exactly huge. I'm kinda curious what their stop speed is supposed to be with their 425HP (if it actually has that much).

Whereas the regular Hemi powered (5.7L) Charger is overrated horsepower wise, the SRT-8 is underrated. Some of them have dynoed around 370whp, as can be seen here: http://www.srtforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133951

I think that if an SRT-8 owner is seriously trying to race you Gotian, you will lose pretty badly. Those cars have a low 13 sec. 1/4 mile stock, and some of the freaks have dipped into the 12's stock. You gotta go to the track, otherwise you don't know if you are beating the other driver or your car is really that stout. Everyone has beaten cars that they shouldn't have one time or another. Besides I always meet alot of cool people at the track.

You do remember that it was a 5.7 that I beat right? I was just saying I'd like to race a srt-8 for S**Ts and giggles. Also remember those things are all automatic, it's really hard to screw up in those.
