Wiper Delay Problem

I have a 1996 SL1. The number 1 setting speed on my wiper delay no longer works, althought numbers 2 and 3 still do. Is there anything that can be replaced or is this a difficult electrical repair?

sounds like wiper motor or multi function switch is bad. i would point more towards multi function if the motor works fine other times.

While under warrantee my rear wiper quit. They replaced the wiper control arm assembly because a wire had broken. They said it was a common fault, at least in my '99
