Just did this fix on my 2000 two days ago. You can go online to midway auto supply where they sell a "windstar valve cover replacement kit." It has everything needed for the job in one box. It costs about $120 with shipping (try shop.com first). The only other place to find this is at a Ford dealer-quoted almost $200 for parts listed separately.
If you are going to do the job yourself, its not too bad-very accessible. Use this website as a reference http://leckemby.net/windstar/windstar01.html- its very helpful. Make sure to remove the cowl and change the plugs and wires while you are there- you'l be glad you did.
I have heard rumors that Ford may cover costs if you push it- it is there screw up and this is a VERY common problem with Windstars. Watch out for code po401, this usually means a bad dpfe sensor (it did on mine). THis costs about $50 and is a very quick replace. Your Ford dealer has lots of them in stock (another Ford foul-up).
Good Luck

I would recommend the http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=214072 site if it is even close in price....may be the best price.
This is a FORD dealer in the Seattle area. Millennium Ford.
It would be best to get your VIN number and include it with your order to be more sure about getting the correct part.
