2nd time transmission broke

At about 45,000mi the second gear pump broke on my 2002 sc2. I had a warrenty so no problem. Saturn repaired the tranny. Now I have 51,000 miles and it doing the same thing. It looks like the second gear pump is bad again. When it shifts into second the engine will rise about 300 RPMS and then drop back to the start of shift and climb all the way up like normal.
Can these tranny be fixed or should I trade it after I get it fixed for a Subaru?

if it is still under warreny, i would take it back to the dealer.the same problem in 6,000 miles after repair. sound to me more like a poor diagnosis or the root of the problem was not found. plus have not heard of a "2nd gear pump" in a saturn transmission before.

sounds like a loss of pressure or slipping clutch packs. most likely same problem that plagues the autos which is the valve body.

Saturn say the tranny is ok . I still dont think so. Oh well i have 25000 miles left on the warrenty.
