99 windstar theft light

I have a 99 windstar with a 3.8, and the theft light is flashing when trying to start therefor the van wont start, does anybody know how to clear the flashing theft light. Thanks in advance.

this means that the PATS key has the incorrect code.

If this is a third key, the owners manual has the re-program process.

If this is one of the original, you need to go to your stealership and have them reprogram it with the PATS system.
