check engine light on but no codes

ok after having the po741 code i had the transmissin fixed problem done. now for some reason the check engine light is still on but there is no code :banghead:
this car will not pass smog because of this.has anyone else had this phanthom check engine light???

Please post more info about your car, year, model, engine, mileage.....

where did you have the light checked at? the dealer would be able to pull all codes, and it could be something not engine related at all.

i tryed first with the one you rent at auto zone. then i had the smog shop run a check and they cant find anything eather. they keep saying the battery has been disconnected and the ecu hasnt went threw all its checks. which is crap. then i took it to the dealer and even they said there was no codes. and yet the check engine light is on.:banghead:

everyone that has checked it cant tell me what it could be. they clear it the light goes off about a minute later its on again. of course with no codes.

well the problem sounds like something not related to the engine. the saturn dealer should have been able to go through and find the code.

something could have been swapped or removed from the car that needs to be there in order to keep the pcm happy.
