does anyone know of some decent looking tail lights, its time for me to upgrade. Is altezza's the only thing out there that look decent, it seems to be the only thing i see

You can get them from Mach V. The only thing that's keeping me back.. is that I actually like how the stock tail lights look. This is your car though, so this is what I would replace my stock lights with :thumbsup:

I like the stock lights also. If its not illegal in your area I like the way the way black outs look. If your into the more altezza/euro look, there are some altezza's with carbon fiber backs(so it looks pretty much black except for the red dots) that I think look pretty good. Regardless of what you do I would paint the center piece to match your car.;)

Yeah, couple years ago we used to have two of our cars with front and back black outs. Looked hot, then the 5-0 started harrassing us about them. Man, I hate the police. Its like......the 2 requirements to be a state trooper in NC are: You have to be an asshole, and you have to have a tight fade. WTF.

do a light smoke job on them, you can get them looking ruby red with about 4 coats of VHT Niteshades.
Altezzas are mega lame.

I agree with the niteshades. If i wouldnt have gotten into an accident in my truck i would still be sporting the niteshaded tails. Since i broke one in the accident im upgraded to LEDs. Still might give those a little niteshade though.

IMO, stock lights with painted center peice is your best bet, but then again your car is red, lol.

maybe i might just get altezza's, being here in Wisconsin not too many people know how to get there car past the "stock" stage so i may be safe. I just don't want the same lights as everyone else

Its easy really, just sand it down, lay down about 3 coats of matching automotive spray paint, then spray a clearcoat over it.
Like I said earlier, I'm not sure how it'd look on your car since its already red. But here's a pic of when I had my smoked taillights. Thats with my driving lights on and without any clearcoat. The damn stock exhaust makes me cringe....

They are actual taillights with built in LEDs. I tried the bulbs with resistors in them but they ended up blowing my taillight fuses. I didnt feel like messing with it anymore and wasting more money on fuses. Then last friday i was in an accident and broke my driver side taillight. Since the dealer wants $102 for ONE taillight i just decided to get the LED tails off ebay. Ill post some pics here when i get them.

Everything i've seen says usdm only. I searched autotrader in the uk and only found like 4 eclipses and the were all imported and lhd.

Hey, France is a pretty cool place actually. Paris is a nice city too. And they did help us get our independence btw. Everyone says they are pussies and can't fight yet no one remebers they took over all of Europe in the 1800s. But anyway, yes there are Euro Eclipses. They had different rims too.

Im actually suprised that they dont. I was planning on stickin with the stock tails with the niteshades. But like i said ill pay 140 for some upgraded taillights than spend 102 on just one.

i painted my center and got gay altezzas. this week i'm going back to stock with painted center. you will so stick of the altezzas real quick trust me. every honda ricer isn't complete with out them

If you smoke your tails (or red them out) make sure to wetsand/clearcoat them to make them shiny. Most people leave this step out and they end up looking really dull.

Been there, done that.
To smoke them you're basically just painting them black, but not so dark so that you can't see the actual lights illuminating the taillight housings. I wet sanded a previously "smoked" set, used black spray paint and then used aclearcoat over it.

Yea I know, I didn't want to spend that $15-$20 per can they are. I didn't use just regular spray paint, its "automotive" or whatever, its acrylic I think.
