Engine idiot light, rough idle

My 2004 cruiser with 60000 miles had an engine light come on and has run rough since. Yes, I checked the oil. Has anyone else ever experienced this problem? Thanks.

I have a 2004 LE turbo and had a similar problem. Still under warranty,they found a bad plug wire and spark plug. You can test for this buy pulling each plug wire as the engine is running. If there is no change when a wire is off that wire or plug is suspect. It should get much worse if a good cylinder is disabled. Hope this helps:nono:

Chrysler garage determined that it was bad plugs and wires, and then charged me $420 for replacing them and an oil change. The Chevy garage put a transmission in my truck (labor) for about the same $ a year ago. This car will never see this Chrysler shop again, nor will I ever buy a car there again!!!!! Jim Scrivens
