Put half of YOUR girlfriend :D in the passenger seat of the VTEC 4g, and the weight is about even. Line 'em up.. My bet's on the 5g.
I don't recall if the USDM VTEC 4g came with the LSD, but I'm sure the ATTS would give the 5g an advantage off the line if you raced both top model cars..
At the end it would be a drivers race between both generations but the SH would definetly have an advantage because of its ATTS.
Too bad that it wasnīt available with ATTS over here in germany....:frown:

Driver's race on the street, yes.
I still say the 4g looks better though, especially the interior. The 5g interior looks like a civic's interior.. Sad for a car with such sophistication.
I'd drive either. I would mind testing that ATTS around corners though.

Iīve got the OEM wooden "interior" (??) and Iīm still thinking about what to do next!? Indiglo gauges or silver painted gauge beezels....dunno what would look best with the "wooden color" of some parts of my interior.

Sorry, I've never seen the woodem trim on the 5g.
Are you thinking about painting? I know that with a dark wood color, deep/rich colors look good with it, nothing neon/bright. White prob wouldn't look too bad though.
You probably don't want to paint though, which IMO is wise. I would just look for the subtle things to do if I were you. The 5g doesn't come in leather at all... You could change that, unless it gets really hot where you live.
I think subtleness goes very far. For me it's going to be red stitched black leather shift boot, redye mats, or just get new ones with "prelewd" embroidered in red on them, small text. Same with rear mats. I do want to do some bold things though. IE: remove the rear seats and put one in sideways like a truck seat and eventually have a game console for the rear passenger to play with on those long rides. Maybe in a different lude though..
I just hate when people paint the trim pieces in their car... Looks tacky.
I don't know what you want to do.. I was just throwing out some ideas for you. Hope you are inspired. :2cents:
Post some pics of your interior, I want to see your woood.

Post some pics of your interior, I want to see your woood. No, I donīt want to paint any pieces in my car except of the gauge beezels maybe. I was thinking about indiglo gauges but I think they wouldnīt look good with the wooden stuff in my car!? Maybe some sport pedals and a new shift knob but thatīs enough then.

Yea, the indiglo is overrated I think. Black is nice. If you really want to do something trick, change the LEDs in your instrument panel. It looks so nice when done right.

I haven't really done much research on the subject. I did a quick search on google.com, and didn't come up with anything of use. I will continue looking however.
It's pretty self explanatory if you have a basic knowledge of your cars instrument panels and electronic theory. Find colored LEDs of the same wattage as the ones you are replacing, and simply swap them out. I think the only hard part would be the careful taking apart of your panel.
Maybe you could use your moderator status and make this a new post somewhere.. maybe the interior forum/car electronics, since we seem to be getting off topic. You might get more luck there.

for sure, the 4th gen is the best...the front grill is the most intimidating grill made by honda ever (besides S2000), and the body is shaped the sports car of old, short wide, and ready to go!

the 4th generation has a much better body shape to it. Everything has a more balanced look to it.
The 5th one the front ed is just too long and the roof is just too high. Looks odd. I still think it's a really sweet car, I like the style, it's just the body shape that throws it off alittle.

maybe i missed it, but no one seems to have mentioned the fact that the 5th gens looked like Preludes. they kept with the tradition of the car, and thats what i liked about them. the 4ths rock, i love all preludes, but 5ths are just my favorites along with the 3rds.

if i had the choice of a 4g worth $7grand and a 5g worth 11grand i would take the 5g... sell it and buy a 4g and spend that money on boosting a h23.
when i look at a 5g strait on, the front lights look dopey.. i still like the cars tho but they just dont look right, even with a kit. 4gs have one of the best dashes ive seen in a car, looks like a jet or somthin. 5gs dash looks like another accord.. as said before 5gs come with one engine. h22. the fastest preludes ive seen where 4gs with built h23 and boost. ive seen them with over 500whp.

i dont get what people see in the 4th gen lud, sure its nice and all, but really, all it is is just a mitsubishi lancer. i own a 5th gen though so ofcourse there is biastness to that. i had the choice of a 5g to a 4g, i chose the 5g cause its newer, and down here its more "classier" for the older midle aged person, n cuz im 18 n a bit of a snob, i wanted something different rather than a 4g that alot of people have, and also the 5g isnt anywhere near as common as the 4g on the road.

A mitsu lancer? please, your off the mark with that one. Thats funny, i see A LOT more 5th gens here compared to 4th gens, the 4th gen is really rare. The thing i find funny is that a 95 SRV(CANADA) goes for more than a 97 lude? why? rare car, faster (stock), and IMO better looking. People still think my 93 is not 10 years old, its beyond its years. But to tell you the truth, I want a 5th gen as well! I love all ludes! I'll have 1 of every gen then!

yea, i don't see the connection with the lancer and the 4th gen either. if anything, the lancer looks like a civic. the lancer is a tall, boxy, turd looking car, and the lude is low and sleek.
Gone are the days of super sleek japanese cars. Think about it... No more prelude, no more integra, no more 300ZX, no more Supra, no more RX7. They are all boxes now. :disappoin

i too love preludes. if someone tied me up and made me chose, id have to go with the 5ht gen. it looks like ace and garys dildo car IMO but i love it. its long and firm, ahh-hem, i mean classy. but honestly, i just bought a 5th gen last week and it was the best decision ive ever made.
i do love the fourth gens too, but, im sure which is the same case for others, you see a few bad cars and it turns you sour over the whole bunch. kid that lives neer me just put a kit on a 4th gen with rusty wheel wells. tacky. tacky. tacky. why not go to mejiers while youre at it and get the led windshield wiper squirters? you will RARELY see that on a 5th gen. and im sure thats because the 5th gens are obviously newer but it still leaves that bad taste in my mouth.
prelewd your points are great though, i agree 100% on all of them. were just biased in our own different directions.
