Update...... I ran an ad on my subs for a 100 just for the hell of it and guess what I sold them!!! I made $20 profit now im back in the market for a new set of subs any advice would be great I was looking into some rockford fosgate hx2's or alpine type R's I still have my kenwood amp so hopefully I can put it to good use Thanx
Type R's wont fit unless u get 10s and those will barely fit because u need a mounting depth of 6 7/8. Theyre good subs tho.

I went to the RF website and all i could find was the punch series and the power series. i think that the hx2's might hav been an older model. I have 2 Punch Stage 2s and they hit pretty hard and tight. I payed $179 CAD for each at best buy. I can only imagine that stage 3 hits harder but when i was buying subs they were like 350$ CAD i think.

go to www.audioenhancers.com they have most of the dimensions listed on there for the boxes. and have several views of the boxes too. its very helpful on building.

yeah i'd measure it if it was sitting in my house with no subs in it. but else its under the seats and i dont wanna have to pull it out. i do know that the mounting depth of my box is 7" and there's 1 cubic foot per sub. then again the middle is hollow too so its kinda one big airspace, that probably adds another 1/2 cubic foot at most.

Hey ThanX I did not know about that!!! now Im not sure if I should Go down firing or front the front looks more easy to make but I would have to get 2 10in subs In fact I have 2 10in ma audio subs on the way my plain was to make a regular box for them a sell them for profit now Im thinking of keeping them for my truck http://3125.colony1.net/product_images/3125/MA101XQ.JPG .....but with a 7 1/8 mounting depth I have room to play with.... by the way the MA's are 5'6in

if you want to use the ma's that you just bought then just make a standard up firing box, its easier than building a down firing one. if you went forward firing box, you could get much stronger 10" subs, like some jl w7's... that would be insane. ive even heard of people with 12"s in forward firing boxes.

are you talking about cutting the curve for the hump in the center?? if so the easiest way to go about this is to go get a piece of cardboard and trim with a knife or scissors until it fits and then use that as a template to cut the wood. thats the easiest way that i know. hope thats what you wanted to know about if not ask the ? and i will see if i have any other answers.
