Erdal...I didn't want to clutter the other thread.
Luos, l would like to ask a question to you man, if you dont mind..
how much money would l have to spend to make a stock 02 ws6 500 rwhp? and with which mods l would reach that number..
and the same question for 03-04 cobra also..
Let me ask...do you care if it is nitrous getting you that power?
If not, doesn't take much more than bolt-ons and about a 125 shot along with a tune. $2500 if done right and with the better cheaper bolt-ons.

I only read page 1 and 4, basically everyone saying a couple of things. I love both cars. If I was going by looks, I'd definately get the TA! The TA looks so mean!! Especially the Ram Air WS6 with the 4 scoops!!! MEAN!!! The Cobra looks mean to but I think Ford could have made it look a little less like a GT, maybe a functional hood scoop or something.
If I was going on performance, then definately get the Cobra! 390hp/390tq stock!!! What is the WS6 rated at? 325-335? Still awesome!!
Then you have to look at the price of both cars. I'm guessing you could get the WS6 for about 8-10 grand less. Just take that money you would save and hop up the WS6. Hell, you probably wouldn't even have to do much, WS6's are fast as hell!!
If I had to choose.....I hate to say it....but....I would get the TA!!! THEY JUST LOOK SOOOOO DAMN MEAN!!!! MEAN, MAN, MEAN!!!!
A BLACK T/A WS6 WITH CHROME WHEELS....AHHH.....ALMOST BETTER THAN SEX!! Hell, sometimes it is better.....SOMEBODY GET ME SOME PAPER TOWELS

thank you Luos, l appriciate your respond..
actually l would like to have real power!! l wouldnt wanna use nitrus.. l got 2 reasion, first if a cop would catch me, l would be in trouble. second reasion, nos is kinda cheating isnt it? normally u dont have that power, when u psuh the button, for a couple seconds, it makes u faster and then u got the same power. l would like to add some bolts on and reach that power and stay at that power!
so, l would like to have bolts on instead of nitrus.. what do you think?
thank you..

There is NOTHING wrong with nitrous. Not ricer-ish either.
Although I am also not one to use it.
But it does work, and well with an LS1 car. The motor loves the stuff.
Unless you want a new motor (expensive) you are looking at boost to get to 500 RWHP. Light bolt-ons and an ATI running 6-7 PSI should see you about the 500 RWHP mark. Full bolt-ons and 7-8 PSI gets about 540 or so.
Stock for stock, it is cheaper to get the Cobra to 500 RWHP. It already has the expensive part...the supercharger.

i tend to agree on nitrus being... well wussy. but there was an aplication that i liked. in the early 90's (it was either a saturn... or z car, i saw it on s.c.r. on speedchannel) a early sports car came stock with nitrus (this of course was the super high end version). but thier application wasnt like what we would think of it. it was up in a system where at full throtte it would use the equivolent of a 20 shot. to help you get into the power band... then the computer would shut off the nitrus.
now i am always for the naturally asperated motor over the blown. but blowers and turbos and even nos can be impressive.

i can't stand nitrous, i hate it more then anything in the world, people saying "i got 500hp" no you don't, you have 300hp and the rest comes out of that bottle, it's like sneaking a 15 inch salami into bed with a woman and saying that it's really your schlong.

i'm not saying i doesn't work, i just think it's dishonest and unethical, if you need to turn to a bottle to win a race, then you don't deserve to win that race, i just consider it cheater juice.

Im not trying to bash you man but nitrous is just like any other upgrade and if its cheating than so is a sopercharger, turbo, ram air, headers.... You need to put a few bolts to get it to win for you.
Im not saying you should love nitrous to each his own but there is no reason to habe anything against it.
In a race the winner is the winner and you could cry all you want about the bottle.

Bingo.
I have had many try to convince me to spray my new motor. It would LOVE it. Probably see 150 RWHP from a 125 shot. But I won't do it. It isn't me.
But I don't think it is cheating. It works...as do most any performance mods.

i think its a little unreliable yet. whos to say that you are getting a constant stream, or your jetting is accurate for 125.... you could ony be getting 115. its only 10 pony's but i just think it needs more time... much like fuel injection, early injectors were unreliable. but look at them now... same thing here what if there was a nos injector that instead of a contant spray it only opens when the injector is. and then closes again... you might gat more life out of your bottle and because they open simultaniously there is good ionization.

i'm just old school, if you want horsepower, you get under the hood and get too work, not run some lines to a big blue bottle, if it's not on your motor, then it's just fake hp, if it's in your car, not under the hood, it's not real power.

Hey Fuzzy- I too am old school. REAL old school. Used to subscribe to the same philosophy as you for the longest time. Wanted the power all motor. Took a LONG time to get it through my thick head that a little spray wasn't a "bad" thing.
After a LOT of wrenching(I do my own thank you), I was finally able to achieve a respectable motor #. 472rwhp/439rwtq,(low 11's on motor in my heavy ass 3850# pig)on a little itty bitty cam and 3 year old heads ain't too shabby for my home built stock cubed/stock bottom junk. I see bigger cubed motors wishing they could make this power at less cost.
But, b/c the technology has rocketed in the last few years, if I wanted to make upwards of 500 rwhp on motor, my choices were limited to bigger cubes, or a total re-do of my current setup. My heads have been shaved to get CR up, so a bigger cam would mean flycutting..... and the type of cam even remotely close to achieving that # would mean the heads would choke the cam before it ever got to that point anyway.
So.... there in lies the delema. Hhhmmmm.... what to do?
Enter the TNT F1(wet)kit.
With a good(safe)tune, on a 100 hit this motor goes 596/564 for under $1400.00. Not a chance in hell a motor build(or upgrade of hard parts in the current motor)would make that power for that money. Up the jets to a 150 hit and I'm over 600/600, AND in the LOW 10's.
It's streetable(relative), safe, reliable, and will flat embarrass most anybody that wants some.
Not trying to sway your beliefs, just some insight as to the "value" it(No2) contains. With the technology Nitrous has seen over the years, there's NO better "cost effective" way of making power.
If it were "cheating" or was for folks that "can't" wrench their junk to the #, you wouldn't see it in NMCA/ORCA or other sanctioned points events.
Just like a blower or Supercharger, No2 IS "REAL" horsepower.
HP IS HP. Period..... and HP WINS races..... ask me how I know.
Not trying to bust your balls, but..... a closed mind is much like a parachute that doesn't open.
Good luck w/your project. Hope you acieve the NA #'s you're after!

Anytime you have nitrous, supercharger, or turbo, I would feel ALOT better having forged pistons. I can't remember exactly why, I think they can handle the pressure/boost better than hypereuetic (SP?) pistons. But as Mr. Luos said, you don't have to. Ford's last year for using forged pistons (BASTARDS) in the Mustang was 1992 and there are a ton of Mustangs after 92 that have nitrous, sc, or turbo.

i see what you're saying, and honestly, i never used to be as against it as i am now, it was after that fast and the furious movie came out and every 16 year old dumbass went and straped a 100 shot on his civic or neon, put nos decals all over his car, and think's it's the hottest thing on 4 wheels, of course they never use it cause it'll blow the old crappy miled out engine. i don't know how many people i've heard say after a race with me "oh man, if i woulda hit my nos, i woulda blown his ass away" of course you never know, it could be true, his piston's hitting my back windshield might distract me and make me hit a ditch while his car rolls by.
