Idles, but falls flat on throttle

I have a 1987 mitsubishi precis(same as excell) ans it will start after some coaxing and idles smooth and perfect.....however as soom as i try to give it some throttle it falls flat on its face.....I have been working on VW and Datsuns for a long time....but I just cant figure this one out.

I dont think there is a vacume leak....I heve inspected all hoses that are accesable.....

It sat for a wile....so i figured it was bad gas.....However i have put new gas in and "blead" thegas lines with fuel. I romoved the carb.....and did my best to clean it.....and ran carb cleaner through the float bowl.

however when I reinstalled the carb, and all vacume lines, it has the exact same problem.....falls flat as soon as it gets throttle......I just dont understand....any help would be appreciated......

I was just out tinkering with the car.....and I noticed that it does not have the same choke setup as my 89........then i got to looking...and it looks like it has no choke......so i held the choke butterfly closed all the way wile giving it throttle....and guess what it revs.....as high as I want it to......I dont know why this is doing this.

I thought that the chike being closed would kill the revs when closed and throttle is given......I thought baby this info would help......Thanks....-DEAN-
