blower switch

My girlfriends 2003 impala has a problem with the blower. Sometimes when you start the car the blower won't work no matter where the switch is positioned. If you turn off the car and start it again, it will work. Also she said one day she had it on high and went to turn it down it just turned off and wouldn't work again. Has anyone heard of this?

most likey a grounding issue. fnid the ground to the blower motor and take it off and clean it up and get all the rust off, happened to my last car, would work on and off, sanded the ground, worked fine after that.
