What the hell is a "link"?

None of them sound good if you've got a dumpy motor behind it. They're just pipes from the block, upper part of the exhaust system. I don't think headers sound that much different from each other. The bottom of the exhaust - from the headers back makes a difference. Alot of these guys like Magna-Flows. I have no idea who makes mine, but it's a 3" exhaust. THAT sounds good :smokin: .

AHA!

Try www.jegs.com (http://www.jegs.com) or www.summitracing.com (http://www.summitracing.com) or www.dynomax.com (http://www.dynomax.com)

They're pretty common so basically any performance parts place is going to sell them.

Dynomax ceramacoats are in the $280 - $350 range. - Just headers though. Rest of the exhaust is ~ 300 - 400 but you don't necessarily have to go that route, all you need is something that flows well. I think Jegs and Summit both have their own "house brand" that is much cheaper than the brand names, but is basically the same thing.

Personally I would prefer a nice manifold over headers. Everyone I know with headers can't have a conversation in their car because it is so loud.

Personally I wouldn't know. Never used them or know anyone that has. I sure someone in the AF will let you know.

I was thinking of getting the Pace Setter's headers with the part number PSM-70-1209 in a few days. Anyone have these? It would be paired up with my Magnaflow catback. My one concern is that I like my car's volume with the catback, I just want it to perform a bit better, how much louder will the car be with the headers? Are these good headers?

Jim, a header installation on your car versus his are two completely different experiences.

best are stainlessworks LT. just search them on google, they are totally stainless tig welded easy install and will put on what previsions you want EGR ect... true tuals give the best performance and sound, i had LT with an ORY and GMMG exhaust, but hacked that for LT and a true dual over the axle with chambered mufflers sounds awsome, and best power ranges

i went with the pacesetter long tubes without emission fittings.... they took a little modifying but for the price you couldnt beat it

ME??? If so, I know. But still...

You do know that I gotta pull the whole engine though.... Right??? Not enough room...I may not have all the crap in the engine bay that you guys do, but the freakin engine leaves like no wiggle room to get a new set on without removing the engine.:banghead: So to my way of thinking... Sort of similar on the "pain in the ass" scale.

Of course... I'm wrong on just about everything so why would this be any different???:banghead::grinyes:

....open headers yes... I had long tubes with off road y pipe (no cat) and stock exhaust... it wasnt that loud... just a hair above normal...
