Yes I am another from Brisbane - live just 9km's to the north.

Count myself and Helen in as Ozzies. We have just moved to Melbourne, so are experiencing the joys of discovering a whole new set of hobby shops. Very impressed so far.


Phil, Helen and I will definitely be going to the Expo in June - already have a list of kits to look out for on the sale/swap day. Would be very interested in organising a meet-up with fellow AF'ers.

I spent a lot of money there last time I was in Melbourne. First place I saw the fugimi Ferraris back in Sept (Sandown 500 week) they are only now coming to shops here in Adelaide

The Melbourne Model Expo is scheduled for the Queen's Birthday long weekend, 10-12 June at the Sandown racecourse. Great venue if a bit out of the way for me. They have a website at www.modelexpo.com.au.

ky0--- one of the geatest things of living down under is our small population, however saying that having a small population means we just dont have the demand for mass production/import or econamy of scale as say the US.
i spend a hell of alot of time in the States and even though i love it there i sure as hell dont mind paying a bit more for models if it means living in

Sorry, missed this question earlier. I buy most of my stuff from overseas. Rainbow 10 in Japan, MediaMix in Singapore and Strada Sports in the USA. Also local shops here in Wagga and the occasional trip to Melbourne. John Lancaster of Grand Prix Miniatures Australia in Melbourne in particular has some great stuff.

However I am trying to cut my spending this year. Very difficult with Lamborghini R-GT transkits and McLaren MP4/20 kits and test decals in the offing. :)
