Just bought a 2006 LT2

It's my new company car. When looking my main requirements were that it had to have the new Flip & Fold rear seat with a dark interior, preferrably front buckets w/console. The dealer just happened to have one in stock. Sport Red Metallic with an Ebony interior. What an awesome color combo. It has the LT2 preferred equip group which consists of 16" alum wheels, the better MP3 radio, and a leather wrapped steering wheel w/audio controls. Also happened to have the optional Bose system and 3 free months of XM . Only 25 miles on the odom so far. Kinda makes you love your job.

Definitly a nice ride, but how would you describe the feeling when you drive it? Does it feel anything impala? They messed up the design so badly in my book, im wondering whats up with that.

I've only driven my new Impala about 75 miles so far and I'll have to admit that the cloth bucket seats are a little on the hard side and visibility is poor due to the small mirrors and high belt line. Maybe the split bench or leather seats would be more comfortable?? I'm not overly impressed with the bose system which seems to have plenty of base tone but a cheap flat sounding midrange and treble. There is zero wind noise but more road noise than I would expect from a brand new car on a smooth interstate. Guess I'm just spoiled from driving the 95 Aurora.

That says it all pretty much uh? Such a shame.. Hell I would have enjoyed a convertible model of the 00-05 palas.. or maybe even newer lines more droped to fit the low rider spirit... In the 00-05 models you can still spot some lines like from above, in the front, you can see the car is actualy lower and more flat shaped, I like that stuff.

I would have seen a 06 model more flat shaped like that in the back for better visibility. Maybe a lil aerodynamism in the front bumper kit. Chrome lining option. Feel my flow? :D

How about the performance of the 06 ? Did you get to push whats hiding under the hood?
