First pull out the fuse and then underneath the dash there should be a yellow connector and it will disable the airbag if you disconnect it.

To disable the airbags, perform the following steps.
1. Position the front wheels pointing straight ahead, turn the ignition to the lock position and remove the key.
2. Remove the Air Bag fuse from the instrument panel fuse box and disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
3. Remove the lower steering column filler panel and disconnect the Yellow two way connector at the base of the steering column.
4. If equipped with a passenger airbag, remove the upper instrument panel pad. Remove the insulator beneath the pad. Disconnect the Yellow two way connector at the wiring harness leading to the air bag module.
5. Some Systems have a steering centering device built into the steering columnn (just behind the air bag module). If disasembling steering system components, do not allow the steering wheel/ shaft to rotate from its locked position.
ps. the location of the instrument panel fuse box is on the right side of the center console close to the foot A/C outlets. Pop open the plastic panel, it is only held together with velcro. The air bag fuse is located on the top left side.
Hope this helps you. The previous info was found in my trusted Haynes manual.
