SC, SL bumper question

I own a 1999 SC, not sure if its 1 or 2 but its a 3 door model...recently got into a fender bender and need to replace the front bumper cover and headlight. No junkyards have any near me and the only ones that I have found on ebay are for SL models...A friend(who is not an expert) told me it would fit, any s style in same year should work he said but after comparing pictures of the SL andSC models and the lenght and width of each I am not so sure that he is correct. I do not want to pay for the part unless I am positive it will fit because returning and refunding through mail is a hassle...Also I have not had a vehicle since this occured and desperately need to get it fixed so I can drive it again!!

Can anybody out there help me out? Any info would be greatly appreciated...Thanks

the bumper is different. It might have the same anchor points for the bumper, but esthetically the bumper is different from an SL

I found out that sl bumper and sc bumper are not compatable...thank you...

Dale...in the private message you sent me you said that the damage was to the front bumper of the car...so I am not sure if you think I need a rear one? also the one I need is for a 99 and everywhere I looked the year range was 96-99...thanks...Ruth

My SC bumper was not damaged. Just the hood, left fender and radiator.

92 bumper wont work with a 99, 2 different front ends. 92 has pop up headlights while the 99 has normal headlights and the front end is completely different. i think from 97-on sc the bumpers will work.

also if your car is a sohc, then its a sc1. if its dohc, then its a sc2

The SC bumper covers are very hard to find ....your best course is to look in the yellow pages and find a Bumper refurvishing company....there is probably one in your area...I got one for $240 ready to paint....They are available in some online stores but shipping is very expensive or not available because of the size.
Headlights are readily available online for about $100 each....If you can find them in the junk yards..they are about $50........Most likely your brackets are
trashed...Your may have to get those from the dealer....
