2005 Programming Key Fob

I need to program a new key fob. How do I do it on a 2005 Impala?? Any help greatly appreciated. :confused:

it says how to in your manual. there actually is useful information in those things, who ever thought...

I need the same information, but don't yet have a manual (on order). Any help would be appreciated.

dammit I was hoping id get away with being lazy. oh well. here it is right out of the manual.

turn off you radio, hold the DISP button (bottom knob) until the settings menu appears.

press the seek arrows until it say FOG PROG.

press the prev/next buttons to enter the submenu, the word BEGIN will be displayed.

Press the DISP button to start programming, when the message PUSH FOG appears press and HOLD the LOCK AND UNLOCK buttons on the first remote for about 15 seconds, a chime will be heard to verify that it was leaned.

repeat above step for each additional remote. YOU HAVE TO RELEARN ALL REMOTES, NOT JUST ONE!!!!

then you can just exit the setting menu by going to exit in the menu and hitting DISP, or just let it sit there.
