Windstar 2002 climate control blend door problem

Can anyone help! Figure out the problem on climate control switch which does not divert air to anything but the defroster i. e. nothing comes out of the four (4) air registers in the front panel.

I had this same problem. The blend door acuator may not be working. On my 02 a gear inside the acuator had lost a couple of teeth. Replaced the whole unit with a new one from Ford, about $60. It is located behind the radio and climate controls. I had to take the cover, radio and climate controls off to get my hands in there. There is three screws and a wire connector.
