Maintenance intervals

Anyone else notice how Hyundai manipulates their long warranty? I have noticed that the required maintenance intervals are much more frequent than any other dealer or manufacturer. For example who needs an alignment at 15000 miles. They don't use long life coolant like most manufacturers are now. So you have to have them change your green coolant at 30000 miles and every 30000 thereafter. Many other things in there maintenance schedule are like this as well. I am just concerned that Hyundai put lower quality in their vehicles to sell them cheaper and figure that if they force people to bring them in for more maintenance they can keep them running for their full warranty while making more money off of more frequent maintenance. Anyone else notice this problem? Any thoughts on this? The reason I bring this up is becaue I own an 05 Tib GT and at only 15000 miles I have already had problems with my check engine light a few times, one time resulting in a bad fuel sensor, the second I will find out about tomorrow hopefully, and also have a very expensive tire in Michelins that are already in need of being replaced. I also am having a problem with my rear end not riding right when hitting bumps. The only mod I have is a short ram intake and I use Mobil 1 synthetic oil. I take excellent care of my car and don't beat on it. So I am a little concerned and dissapointed with the car so far. Any thoughts and advice are appreciated. Thanks.

what does it matter to you if you regualarly maintain your car under their terms?

Dude , don't reply to my threads anymore cuz you are obviously an idiot let the smart people answer my questions, your stupid comments are not appreciated or called for. I asked a question, do not come back at me with another stupid question. You obviously missed the point of the thread. The point is that the warranty is a gimmick because they force you to go in for more routing maintenance than other manufacturers which costs you more money due to more frequent maintenance plus if you don't follow the maintenance schedule you lose out on your warranty for the item not serviced at the right interval.

alright, ill stay out of your threads, but jus because you asked so very nicely...

its not a stupid question... i dont know you, not your history with cars, nor anythign else abotu your IQ level/ common sense level... thats why i asked a very intelligent question actually

my dealership has never forced me, not once, to come in and get checked up...
nor have i EVER heard of a dealership doing that to anyone....
every company has a "gimmick" its what sells things, gets peopel interested
it shouldnt cost you anything if its under warranty.. unless they're oil changes/ tune ups...
but jus go in when youre suppose to 3000mi, or 3 months...
and that bullshit about losing your warranty.. if your dealership told you that, you really arent as informed as you pretend to be...
so to stop myself from possibly insulting you, ill jus end my post

Ok Dumbass, try to read and comprehend this time ok. Here we go, What I said about losing your warranty is true and accurate, If you do not follow the guidelines in the maintenance schedule under their terms you void your warranty on that part. For example 30000 miles comes and you don't change your coolant, you get to 55000 and you have a problem with the cooling system they don't have to warranty it due to neglect in regards to following the maintenance schedule. That is what I was trying to say so hopefully you get it this time.

As for the warranty on Hyundais.. No matter what the maintenance intervals, it's still the best that I've seen out there. And when you can get vehicles such as the '06 Sonata which really blows away the competition and the Tib which.. I mean really.. just looks so good, for so cheap, do you expect to have a vehicle that is built of everlasting alloys? Of course not, to be so inexpensive corners have been cut, but as long as you follow the guidelines that are set down and be nice to your car, it's going to last awhile and not give you any problems(hopefully). Yes, the service can be expensive, I'm about to pay $750 for my 60k service and timing belt, but it really is worth it.. Plus, if ya don't like the warranty or maintenance.. get another car. And a word of advice, which nisco tried to tell you: quit actin' like a butt in the forums, the guys here do know what they're talking about, which is why most of them so far have deemed your posts unworthy of response.

I kinda doubt that is the reason no one is responding, and Nisco started with me immediately with smart ass comments to my threads so I just shot back at him.

I guess the ultimate point I was trying to make is that your going to use your warranty with hyundai more than with other cars. Domestic cars typically have their three year 36000 mile warranty and you might need to use it once or twice, the problems are less severe, and after that point they usually stay in pretty good shape as far as repairs go if you don't beat on them and take care of them. Hyundai makes a crappy car they always have and even though in recent years their quality has supposedly improved I am still quite dissapointed with the problems I am having that are obviously a lack of quality. I should have known better than to buy from a company who owns Kia. So I am going to trade it and get an american car that will stomp the shit out of all imports anyways, and that is with the car being STOCK!!!

Yay... Now we won't have to read your unimpressive posts. I can imagine your dream "American" car which is probably assembled in Mexico and runs a V-8 getting about 11 mpg highway. Have fun.

Now I know people will back me up on this- Sonatas are awesome. The 2006 Sonata GLS V6 will outrun an '06 Tib and still look good, ride well, and have heated mirrors, six airbags, and traction control standard while doing so. Not only that, this car, which provides 235hp @ 6000rpm, gets 20/30 EPA estimated mileage while doing so. And not only THAT, it's also built here in Montgomery, AL, USA. So, while you're driving around in your guzzler, just remember me telling you in advance.. you're going to WISH that you drove a 'Nata, and had the warranty that comes with it.

Nata, get a clue buddy, where did you come up with that, that sounds a little stupid don't you think. So, your from Alabama. Well that explains a lot hillbilly. Or maybe you are a redneck, is your uncle your daddy asshole? haha. Lets see which one of ends up with the most pussy you and your Nata or me and my Tibby. HMMM!!!

Redneck, hillbilly.. Ok, so you don't like foreign cars, cars built in the US by foreign companies, or US citizens. You must make friends quick. FYI, hillbilly, maybe, the Blue Ridge Mountains do end near here, but redneck is another story. I can't say that I've ever met a redneck that is not only going to college on full academic scholarship, but is also getting enough scholarship money left over to continually upgrade their vehicle. Also, what happened to you getting an 'American' car and getting rid of your so-called "crappy car"? I mean seriously.. are you 7? or maybe 8? Which one ends up with the most pussy.. Not only is that degrading to women, but also to me, seeing as you're not even anywhere near in my league. Quality, not quantity buddy. I suggest that you sell your Tiburon, as it deserves a better owner/operator, delete your AF account, as I and probably others don't want to hear from you again, and read the sticky addressed to non-owners. I'm now going to wash my hands of you, and wish you luck with whatever you do in the future, hopefully that includes some kind of counseling or anger management.

warrenties arent all they are cracked up to be from any company...getting you coolant changed every 30k miles is a good thing because it keeps things from corroding and gunk from building up so everything works properly and hyundai not using the so called long life antifreeze like the other companies do is just them not giving you a line of bullshit anti freeze does not go bad....and like what others have said if you dont like the maintenance intervals dont follow them no one says you have to take your care to the dealer take it somewhere else and have it done when ever you want it done...nisco i think i'm in love with you

I like how this guy started like 5 threads about how crappy he thinks his car is. I also like how he immediately insults anyone who asks a relevant question, then expects us all to respect his lofty intelligence quotient and his obvious manliness. I also like how he thinks he knows more than everyone else no matter the topic. nice. . .
