Windstar 96'
I have cleaned the EGR ports and install 4 sensors.
Went to have the inspection done but it failed.

Code - P0304.
02sens not ready
02sens not ready
EGRSYS not ready
Anybody have an idea of what the problem can be?

Clear codes and drive untill the PCM resets and recheck for codes.
Post back code with all information like eng and trans and mileage.
What has been done for basic tune up.
What is fuel pressure.
A lot of info lacking. Give us all you have and maybe someone can help.

P0304 is a misfire on cylinder #4
The not ready indications may be that the car has not been run long enough to learn the oxygen sensor information. It takes a long time to learn the downstream (after catalytic converter) sensor data. I do not know how long it takes...

If you clear the codes.....it will take time for the computer to learn the data. You will fail the inspection if you return too soon after clearing the data. Hopefully....that is what the 3 "not ready" codes you list are.

If the "check engine" light is on......have the codes read (local Auto Zone, etc) and get the actual numeric codes. The P0304 should have lit up the CEL.....if it did not... Check to see if the CEL comes on for a few seconds when you first start the car. If the CEL does not come on during the start process, then the CEL bulb in the dash may be bad.

You can do a search in this forum to see what has been posted for specific codes.
Cleaning the EGR ports is a very common fix for the P0304 code.
Unless you clear the codes....a failure code remains present for a certain number of "drive cycles" after the problem has been solved.
After the computer does not see this failure for a certain period of time.....the code will be cleared.

Thanik you guys,
Just so you know we did do the full tune-up coil pack, spark plugs. amd spark plug wires. We also replaced fuel filter, PCV valve, air cleaner and cleaned the MAF sensor.

Thanks again
