That will get you through the MPFI swap. As for the Mini -me, do a search for it in the 88-91 civic forums and you should be able to find some info on it if no one posts anything on it. Because I don't know that much about it, but I think the y8 will work, but not for sure.

you also have to change the timing belt. changing to a mpfi is fun.. you better be good at electrical.. i started to do mine but then had to have my dad help, he is very smart when it comes to electric. but do alot of research on it first. and dont listen to the instruction on using the factory wires for the fuel injectors just run four new wires to the ecu as i went through three hard to find ecu's til i figured out that one wire was bad in the injectors

OBD1 huh? If he wants to run obd1 he has to run a z6 dizzy.

dont listen to crxfreak. sound like he doesnt know wiring. its not hard at all. you just how to be able to read form a book which wire is wire. cut, strip, and crimp or solder. not that hard. ive done 3 dpfi-mpfis before, its not that hard. and if the factory wires were no good, why did honda use them in the first place. listen to the guys that actually did it themselves and know what there talking about.

dude wtf are you talking about? I didnt say anything about the wiring. all i said was that the y8 dizzy is obd2.
who said anything about the factory wires being no good? Not me. I would never tell anyone to run new wires when you can just use the factory ones. But you still have to run new wires for the 2 new injectors.
Also, how do you know what I've done, or what I can do? Wiring is a way easy if you have the diagrams and pinouts for the plugs.
Also, don't crimp, thats for hacks, always use solder and shrink wrap to keep out moisture and avoid corrosion.

hybrid, plz look at the first question in that post, i believe it says dont listen to crxfreak, not hybrid1990crx. i wasnt even talking about you. but on that note i like how you didnt get pissed off in your writing. i always solder my connections but some people dont like too even though like you said soldering is best. also sorry about spelling i was alittle drunk when i wrote that
oh and orignal poster, if you want to use the y8 dist you need to convert to obd1. dont listen to hybrid1990crx about needing a z6 dist because he doesnt know what hes talking about, about that issue. you can use both dist the z6 and y8 but you dont need a z6

so your thinking that the y8 since its obd2 wont work with a obd1 p28 ecu right? wrong. obd2 dists can work with obd1 ecus

^ i have heard this too because all you need for an dobd2-> obd1 swap is a conversion harness and ecu
