Prob a dumb question, but how do i jack my Windstar up with a floor jack and support it with jack stands? According to the service manual, there is a hoisting contact point near each wheel. If I want to lift the entire front part of the minivan, do I lift one corner at a time? and how do I put a jack stand at the contact point since it has been taken by a floor jack?

Hi
I don't know what year you are talking, but on my '96 I can lift the entire front end off of the ground from the center front. There is a sub-frame member that runs across the front of the engine compartment where I place the floor jack. Once it is lifted I can place the jack stands on either side at the jack points or at other spots on the subframe.
Hope that helps

Mine is '98 3.0L and the below is the hoisting points from the service manual. When I work on my the other car (Maxima), I am able to lift the front end from the center of the sub-frame member. But I could not find the similar point on my Windstar.

I added a bottom view of the front and the two circles at the bottom left and right are the hoist contact points.

Put a second jack underneath and raise both at once if you are unsure.

In your picture titled "Windstar Bottom View", I put my floor jack on the subframe near the point labeled "10". I then put as many jack stands as I can (2 to 4) along the subframe, either the sides or front. This jacking point tends to raise only one side of the vehicle at a time though.
The suggestion to jack it up using the front subframe member is a good one too.
