Choosing where to go and what to do...

I am a junior in high school, and if you all remember its time to look at college's. I have an idea of what i want to do for the rest of my life but i have some choices to make. My first question is, will going to a well known place such as wyotech or lincoln give me a better chance of getting a better job? Or is getting all my ASE certs enough. I was thinking of eventually starting a speed shop, hot rods, custom fab, that sort of thing. I know Wyotech offers those, is that a good market to be going into say 5-10 years in the future... not that any of you can predict that for sure, but you would have a better idea than me. Also, i'm considering going to a 4 yr college for something completly non auto related, sports medicine to be exact. If i only wanted to have my certs to fall back on if things dont go to well, would you recomend going for auto first and then off the the 4 year and the other way around. Startong your own business is always a gamble no matter now much research you do before hand so i'm not sure i want to go that route. i no for sure that i want to get my ase's and all so i can get a job during or right out of college. One more thing, does anyone know an estimate tuition for a tech school like wytech, a 2 year program or there abouts?

Thanks in advance,
Andy

I say get the bachelors in sports medicine, get a job in that feild. Start saving some cash and taking night classes to get ASE cert. If you're starting your own buisiness, it doesnt matter what school you go to, you just need to have the know how and the certificate. If you did just want to go into the automotive feild it shouldn't really matter much which school you go to as long as you're certified. Some schools however, will help you get jobs with certain dealerships(ACT, a school around here will help you get a job at Ford/Volvo/Mazda etc dealership). I think Wyotech does Ford and Chevy. But you should be able to find a job anywhere as a tech though as long as you're certified.

Just what I think, correct me if I'm wrong.
