Well my headgasket just went on my 99 sl1. I have a 93 thats about to be donated. Can I swap motors, or are there sensors missing on the 93 block. I figure the 99 has more sensors, but I dunno. Any help is greatly appreciated.

mainly its just the heads that are different, and the parts attached. the block is fairly simple with a crank sensor and a oil pressure sensor on the back side. now im doing a multi year swap too, but im not too fimiliar with sohc and some much of sensors, but i think if you swap the intake manifolds on the engines it should work. i believe the head just has 2 sensors and both are beside each other and you will only use one of them. so check out your engine and the replacement and i do think itll work just swap the intakes because they are 2 completely different intake manifolds. also you will probably note that the replacement engine has got a bit less power.
