At first because Brazil will win tomorrow and second because we will win the WC! :D It´s not that I want it to be like that but it´s just a "feeling" of mine. ;)

I hope england wins tomorrow. Brazil  I'm still not over the fact they played Belgium home after a match that should have been won by Belgium. But that's soccer:(

Just saw on the news today that a lot of Japanese people are copying the Beckham hair style, and that he called his hair dresser today to Japan to change his hair style:D

So close for England but not enough :(
Great game. I really thought when Owen scored that this just might be Englands day....but it wasn't to be.
Good first goal scored by Brazil. Thats what happens when players are taken to long to be closed down and are able to run at defences.

What can ya say about the second.....pure class. I really feel for David Seamen though....so often a hero, but tonight he he was caught out by a very simple mistake that he will have to live with for a long time.

I really thought England played the long ball to much to the front players instead of a slow build up....so often they gave the ball away in the last third of the park.

Well....i cant really see anybody getting close to Brazil now to win the final...the only team will probably be the Germans.

:( :( :( :( we are out ....I am more dissappointed by the fact that we didn't show more of a fight in the second half especially after the ref made it easier for us by sendin their star player on the day off....
still England are ayoung team and have plenty of positives to take from this world cup...

as to who wins it....I hope Brazil do it...they play the most exciting football.....

Germany again didn't play that well but won....typical of them...:o

they were unlucky the german keeper had a great game, and the ref didn't see the hand ball on the line which should have been a penalty for the US......still they did better then expected, especially as they only got 1 point in the last world cup this was a big improvement...

i am so upset about england goin out. i cant believe it. i was down the pub an hour before the match to see the build up. the atmosphere was horrible when ronaldinho fluked that free kick. a cross or a shot? i reckon a bit of both. as for seaman, he said to the press he was sorry to the fans for letting it in, but noone blames him, he has been outstanding this tournament, the best keeper in it. England should have played a shorter game, they just kept losing it and brazil for once were good at keeping possesion. as for the ref, wot a d**k, he was too trigger happy. for one ronaldinho should have been yellow carded, not sent off, and beckham WAS fouled in the area, as opposed to diving like the ref thought. i hope to god that guy doesnt get to ref the final.

Brazil will win it now, and it is unfair that germany have had such an easy passage, but maybe thats just me being bitter now:(

Kahn is one of, if not the best goalie in the world now, but he is the only reason Germany are still in it. Since we beat you 5-1:D it was a huge kick up the arse to you and you did improve, but still IMO not to a great standard, and in the world cup you have had a tremendously easy passage, so i think Euro 2004 will be a fairer test for Germany

Just finished watching the USA game...talk about unlucky.
How Germany have made it this far god know's....there plan of football is so terrible to watch...they have to be the most boring team to watch IMO.......But even still, goodluck on them making it this far.
If they do make the final, i really hope they make a game of it and dont just play defence and hope to catch the other team on counter attacks.

GO KOREAAAAA

It was a exciting match, but I think (hope not :D) that the next match will be to much for the Koreans
Against Germany they will have a bigger challenge
But I also thought that they would lose against Italy, and today against Spain
So don't count them out just yet ;)

Germany will not make it past South Korea. It will be the first half decent team they have played so far. USA had a good game, and that was a lucky game for the Germans, they should have lost that. If Germany meet Brazil in the final, and i hope they do, it will teach them that maybe they werent as good as they thought, i predict there will be a very high scoreline if that is the final.

i didn't say he's a bad keeper, I agree he is one of the best in the world and it is largely because of him that Germany have progressed so far...

it doesnt matter how many times we have won it in the past, this is the present. Even your own legends are slagging you off at the moment. Let me see. Saudi Arabia, Ireland, Cameroon, Paraguay, USA. youve hardly had a difficult road to the semis have you?! You now have Korea--Poland, USA, Portugal, Italy, Spain. Hmm, thats 3 world class teams they have now beaten. The next game isnt lookin bright for you. But i hope you do win it and meet Brazil in the final. I cant wait to see Brazil destroy you, and ruin youre boring game plans!! Of course i am upset we are out, but at least we have had difficult games and earnt our place in the quarters.

We didn´t choose the groups and we didn´t cheat so I really don´t have got any idea why you´re such a hater!?! And you always need some luck in any game...

And nobody cares if my last sentence was wrong or not. I´m sure everybody in here got my point. Maybe you want to speak german to me instead? Or is english the only language you know?

Pennzoil GT-R
06-22-2002, 02:16 PM
i am not saying that you cheated, i am just saying you had an easy route. you have yet to play any difficult games, and even you must admit this is true. it may be a bit of a shcok to you when you come upo against some good opposition, because Germany are definitely not the best they have ever been.

I said youre last sentence was wrong because i personally couldnt understand it. And no, i cant speak any other language fluently other than English. I can spek little bits of French and German, but English is the worlds language, and if i was to learn another language it wouldnt be German, or any other European language for that.

Of course we had an easy route, no question! And we´re definetly not as good as we used to be some years ago. But that doesn´t change the fact that we´re still in the game and that there was only one team which scored against us yet.

And if you´re not able to speak any other language fluently than your own (Congrats for that!!) than you better shut up and don´t make fun of others who try at least.

Thats why i think Brazil could potentially destroy you. If you remember England had only conceded one goal until we met Brazil, and you must admit we have had much harder teams to play than you (read Argentina especially).

I dont mean to make fun of people as i am the first to admit i am not multilingual, but i really didnt understand what Civic_1.6_16v meant by "i play the english national team". If he means do i support England, then yes, i support them to the death, like any true football fan would

He was backing you up

He replied to Veetec and was saying that you personally dont represent the English team and so you personally dont need to improve..

Calm down will ya mate...We are damn lucky this lot can speak English or we would all be screwed. They do us the courtesy of speaking in English on this forum so you shouldnt pick them up on any slightly dodgy English.

Germany have had a relatively easy few games and they did look really bad at the start but from their last game you can tell that they are pulling together and getting better...Its always said over here, You never write off the Germans when it comes to the world cup. This German team is not one of the great German teams but dont write them off yet, they may well surprise us all.

PS, I also think Germany will lose but only because Ive been supporting Korea since the start, not simply because I dislike the German side..Go Korea :D

Anyway, who does everyone in here think has been the best players of the world cup? i have set up a poll with a few names to vote for. vote and share your opinions at http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t51802.html
