Best players of the World Cup???

Who do you think has been player of the World Cup?
Rate them on who has stood out most for their skill and spirit, not just their reputations.

Ronaldo - has come back brilliantly from a career threatening injury
Ronaldinho - looks set to be the next Ronaldo
Rio Ferdinand - Has been a rock in defence, not made a single mistake
Damian Duff - has scared the shit out of everyone hes been up against
Oliver Kahn - lets face it, Germany wouldnt have got this far without him
Hasan Sas - has played brilliantly, if a little inconsistently
Junichi Inamoto - has shown the world that the Far East CAN play football
Shinji Ono - has been every bit as good as Inamoto
Christian Vieri - scored all but 1 of Italy's goals
Papa Bouba Diop - has steered the "French B-team" way further than France in the World Cup
Raul - he IS the Spanish team
Jon Dahl Tomasson - scored 4 of Denmark's 5 World Cup goals
Nicky Butt - controlled the midfield brilliantly
Roberto Carlos - no list would be complete without this "defender"

Some of you might notice Rivaldo isnt in this list. A world class player should score goals and be noticed through talent, NOT cheating.
And also Klose is missing, he may have scored 5 goals so far, but hes hardly had difficult games in which to do them

I have no idea who Nicky Butt is, how he looks, or who he plays for but I voted for him. The name just cracks me up.

I have no idea who any of them are, but I agree with Sham - anyone named Butt gets my sympathy vote.

None of them sorry, I think that so far Michael Owen and Miroslav Klose have had the best cup, but from that list it HAS to be Ronnaldo.

Figo and Pauletta are absent because they, and Portugal all played shit, and didnt make it past the group stages. REMEMBER this poll is on their performance THIS World Cup, not on their reputation or previous performances.

As for Michael Owen not being there, i am a devoted England fan and he really hasnt shone for us this World Cup, and Klose because he may have scored 5 goals, but he has not really deserved any of them, Germany have not played a decent team yet, their goals have all been handouts. Nicky Butt is an English midfielder who plays for Manchester United. He has held the English midfield together all tournament
