It is fair amount of air blowing out. Very noticeable with hand above hole. What could be causing this? I know they talk about positive crankcase ventalition but this seems odd?
Any thoughts welcomed. Rudy.

air blowing out of the oil fill hole with the cap off is normal, it is caused by windage and the countless moving parts inside the engine causing air flow. if when the engine is running with the oil cap on, the crankcase pressure is enought to unseat the oil dipstick, then you have a problem.

LoL mebbe try putting the cap back on the engine, then you wont feel the air.
J/K I know what you meant.

well its normal for some air to come out, but if there is an excessive amount it could be a bad valve stem seals or a cracked head. but then you would have other issues.
my cousin fried his motor in his contour, oil shot out of the breather tube into the intake, and coolant was bubbling out the overflow tank and backed up into the intake manifold. i was hoping to rebuild that engine but it was shot, and the head bolts were seized.
