Temperature control on 99 model

Temp. control doesn't work. Replaced electrical actuator that opens and closes door for hot/cold air. Checked fuses, found none bad. At the moment it only blows cold air.

I've had many sable's and taurus' around that year model in the shop with stopped up heater cores. To test it, run the engine until it's reached operating temp. Then touch the heater hoses(mounted at rear of engine, on firewall, in front of drivers seat.) If both are hot, then the core is good. If one or both are cool, the core is clogged. If you plan to change it yourself, get ready to remove the dash...the whole dash.

I Flushed Out The Heater Core And It Is Getting Good And Hot. But The Temp Control Switch Will Not Open Or Close The Door In The Caseing Under The Dash To Control Hot And Cold Air . I Changed Out The Actuator That Operates The Door But It Still Wont Work You Can Take The Actuator Off And Work The Door By Hand And Get Heat Or Cool Air Just Fine . But The Switch Will Not Make The Actuator Open Or Close

Either you have a bad switch or a loose or bad connection to OR from that switch.
