It's located on the back passenger side of the engine below the alternator close to the firewall.

To me that is one of the most assinine locations to put the power steering resivoir. When I wanted to check my power steering fluid level one day, I hunted high and low for it as I'm used to it being mounted on the front of the engine (Old School Chevy V8 guy :p ) I finally found it "tucked away" on the passenger side by the firewall. I had to rig a funnel with a piece of tubing to be able to add any fluid . More proof that they are making it harder for the average vehicle owner to do simple maintenance on their vehicles. I would have preferred a remote resivoir similar to the overflow tank for the radiator or windshield washer fluid, that is more accesible, ( and of course, smaller  )

yeah I tried to find it one day and couldnt, becuase for it to be where it is is just beyond locical thought, so I had to look in the manual, and even then its still pretty hidden.

The guys with the 3.4L Impalas are lucky. Power steering pump is in a great location. It's so obvious it's not funny.
Changing out the power steering pump on a SII 3800 is a PITA too. :shakehead
