Unfortunately, I got one of those warped packages today...
Does anyone know how to successfully fix this?

Help and Advice will be greatly appreciated, Thank you.
P.S. Can we just skip the "AHAHA, you got screwed!" or "Just get Tamiya's" comments?, I just want to, at least start, on this car. I happen to like the car, but this model sucks...
(I apologize if this has already been fixed and was posted somewhere else, I did search)

LOL.. gotta love Revell.
Heat is your only friend with this. Heat the part and try to bend it in shape.

Hot water works really well, in my experience.

I read an article in a modelling book once all about warped car chassis, the author, MATT IRVINE, put the wheels onto the chassis then heated it up with a desk lamp, after a while it started to get soft then he placed a weight on the chassis and then let it cool down, it took a couple of goes but it worked in the end. :bigthumb:. I've got the book somewhere, I'll dig it out and scan you the article if you want it, just let me know.

Heat it up. Bend it back into shape. The tamiya one is a different version tho. Good luck.

i would take something like a wooden plank, tie down the chassis with string so it's straightened, and then dip it in a bucket full of HOT water for a while. Untie and check once in a while. EIther that or you can use the hairdryer to heat it up.

Be very carefull about the application of heat to it. Too much, or applied in the wrong way, and heat will quickly and irrevocably destroy the part. DON'T BRING A CANDLE ANYWHERE NEAR IT. The method Jaymes suggested, about tying it to a flat form and then dipping it in hot water is an excellent one. You want to straighted it to the shape you want, and then apply heat. Applying heat first, and then trying to unbend it, will almost definately result in damaging or destroying it. And use hot water, don't bother with a hair dryer- most hair dryers don't put out enough heat to be useful, and if you have one that does, it will ruin the part.
It can be done, but be carefull!

What's wrong with it? Its a typical Revell model.
